Vassilev & Partners Law Firm Hosted the ETL German Desk Meeting in Sofia

From 4 to 6 June 2026, our firm had the pleasure of hosting the ETL German Desk Meeting in Sofia — a professional gathering dedicated to the exchange of experience, international cooperation and coordinated work on cross-border legal, audit, tax and accounting projects handled entirely in German.

The event included a welcome reception at our office, working sessions, dinners with a carefully selected culinary programme and a specialised guided tour of Sofia, during which a professional guide introduced the participants to the historical, cultural and architectural character of our capital.

ETL Global brings together independent professional firms in the fields of legal, tax, accounting and business advisory services. In this context, the German Desk format has particular practical significance: it creates a working environment in which experts from different jurisdictions can discuss specific challenges, exchange best practices and develop more effective solutions for clients with international activities and interests in the German-speaking market.

We particularly value the opportunity to be part of a professional community that places emphasis on quality, long-term relationships and real added value for clients.

We would like to thank ETL Global, the ETL German Desk team, as well as all colleagues and guests who took part in the meeting in Sofia. Special thanks go to Anette Holzinger, Anna Agadakou, Claudia Grob, Dominik Baldegger, Dominika Wagrodzka, Dr. Frédéric Duthilleul, Dr. Jörg Hörauf, Eva Knickenberg, Linda Käser, Marisa Herbrandt, Martin Westhofen, Mylene Pillet-Carbiener, Peter Czifra, Tomas Jacek and Uwe Hohmann for being part of this event. Their participation turned the meeting into a vibrant professional platform for the exchange of experience, practical ideas and perspectives on matters relevant to international client service.

It was an honour for us to present Sofia not only as a capital with rich history and culture, but also as a place where international professional partnerships can develop naturally — through trust, personal contact and practical expertise. We are pleased that we had the opportunity to welcome our colleagues to Bulgaria and to contribute to even stronger cooperation within the German Desk community.

We thank all participants for their trust, active involvement and excellent discussions. We part with anticipation for our next meetings — in Warsaw in a few months and in Palma de Mallorca in one year — where the dialogue, cooperation and joint projects will continue.
