On 01.11.2019 the Ordinance on amending and supplementing the Ordinance on Provision of Services from the Cadastral Map and Cadastral Registers entered into force introducing changes in the regime for the administrative service of cadastral information.

According to these amendments, each person who is certificated pursuant to the Cadastre and the Property Register Act, and is trader or exercises self-employed activity, will have the capacity to assist the offices of geodesy, cartography and cadastre in the provision of administrative service regarding cadastral information. For the purpose of acquiring the right to provide administrative services, it is necessary to submit a respective application to the Executive Director of the Surveying, Mapping and Cadastre Agency and the respective person to be entered into the register of persons, providing administrative services.

After the registration, the persons will have the right to accept and process applications, as well as to provide the applicants with official sketches of landed properties and buildings, schemes of separate objects and certificates of existence or lack of data.

The persons, providing administrative services, are not allowed to revise issued cadastral documents.

The increased territorial coverage of the country with cadastral map and cadastral registers, gives rise to increased number of applications for services, provided by the offices of geodesy, cartography and cadastre. This leads to difficulties with acquiring such documents. Said amendments are to reduce the administrative burden as well as  to speed- up and facilitate the process of issuing of official public documents.
