In 2023, the National Revenue Agency (NRA) issued a tax audit report for over BGN 800,000 in VAT and interest, containing several irregularities. Our team appealed the report to the NRA’s Directorate, highlighting contradictions with the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the Supreme Administrative Court, and successfully had it annulled. Following a new audit in 2024, the NRA acknowledged that our client did not owe these amounts and refunded them, including additional interest of approximately BGN 140,000 for funds unlawfully held.
