With the introduction of the new electronic system of the Agency for Road Infrastructure (“ARI”) for the payment of vignette fees, which came into force on January 1, 2019, there have been a number of difficulties for citizens and businesses. Currently, the ARI software does not warn against entering an incorrect or non-existent vehicle license plate number, nor does it allow for correction after payment.

At the same time, the agency tries to convince users of the service that the payment made is at their expense, so that they are de facto forced to pay twice for a service.

In fact, there is a solution to the problem, in the form of legal proceedings against the ARI. Last year, our team successfully assisted our client, a leading company in the printing industry, in recovering the amounts paid for a false license plate on a company car.

Vassilev & Partners law firm offers you comprehensive legal support in recovering amounts from the Agency for Road Infrastructure.
