Criminal Record Certificate to be issued ex-officio by the state authorities

With amendment of the Act Restricting Administrative Regulation and Administrative Control over Economic Activity, effective as of 1 January 2018, new rules for internal circulation of information in the state administration have been introduced.
From now on no Criminal Record Certificate will need to be presented by an individual before the administrative authorities, as the relevant information regarding the criminal background will be ex-officio exchanged within the government bodies.
The current amendment does not affect the requirement for Criminal Record Certificate to be required from foreign citizens.
